The whole block is made from 1/2 square triangles, but you don’t cut and stitch triangles, its done with stitching squares together first from corner to corner, twice, then cut in the centre of your stitched lines, when they are opened up you have two squares with 1/2 square triangles, which is great as sometimes those tiny points of the triangles get pulled down into the needle plate and can be frustrating, this way is So much better.
